It's as if he was flying again, his body light and his mind free, only caring about the boy in front of him and the wonderful things he's making him feel, rest of the world forgotten. The hand on his neck makes him hum, and both of his move to grab Hiccup's hips and pull him closer too, thumbs rubbing between hoodie and t-shirt. Even with the clothes between their skin, it feels warm.
What he did before happens to him now, his lips starting to move just before the kiss is broken. He's still grinning like an idiot, resting his forehead against Hiccup's when he looks back.]
No, or I would've said something sooner too. [His hands squeeze the hips under them, he can't believe this is real.] Are you sure about this particular mess? Even if he made you cry?

[Although there was still a lingering doubt inside, there was more hope bubbling to the surface. Green eyes flicked up to meet blue, tongue poking out to lick his lips before he bit the bottom one slightly.]
I already told you about all the messes and trouble I used to get up to at home. Merlin, it's like I was magnetically attracted to you.
[Hiccup's cheeks flush at the admittance and he laughs at himself, grazing a chaste kiss along Jack's lips before pulling back again, letting his hand trail from the back of Jack's neck to along his jaw, fingertips shaking slightly.]

[Yes, Jack can definitely understand relieved. No more hiding, no more lies, not more worry of losing his best friend. Sure, there may be some trouble in the future (wizards are kind old fashioned and Jack doubts they'll accept this, plus Hiccup's dad - ugh), but right now? Right now, knowing Hiccup returns his feelings makes him feel simply happy, a weight dropped from his shoulders.
His own cheeks flush a bit too - they may have kissed, but hearing the confession is still something else. His smile can only grow bigger, gladly returning the kiss and letting out a little sound of protest when Hiccup pulls back so quickly. He can feel Hiccup's fingers shaking, that can't be. He wants Hiccup to be comfortable, to relax and embrace this change. He covers the hand with his own, taking it to his mouth to kiss the palm.]
It is a little too much, isn't it? I bet I'm just dreaming again. [Eyes closed, he drops a couple more of kisses on Hiccup's hand, then puts it back on his cheek, nuzzling it.] Yeah, that has to be it. It's another dream where I can pretend is okay to have this kind of feelings for my best friend, ok to touch him like this like I've been dying to since who knows when... [He looks up at Hiccup blue eyes sparkling with glee, his words obviously some teasing so he can make Hiccup see how important this is for him too.] ...but I'll wake up, won't I? I'll wake up and I'll go back to hanging out with you while I can, making the best out of it before some pretty girl takes you away from me.

[He scoots himself forward a little, just to be in Jack's space a little more, even with the way he was thinking to himself that they shouldn't. They were alone in this spot. There was nothing but light filtering through the stained glass. Hiccup pressed his forehead against the other boy's, turning his hand around so he could clasp their fingers together.]
I'll wake up and go back to studying and taking care of Toothless and turning girls down because I want him to wake up and realize that all this time I've been waiting for him because I've been too chicken shit to say it myself.

[Jack shivers to each of Hiccup's brushes, his breath stops for a second when he hears the other boy admit he's been kept up at night by this kind of fantasies too. A couple of idiots dancing around each other, too scared to say anything... and confessing when the school year is about to end. Could they be any dumber?
The scooting is definitely a good sign, and Jack decides to just go for it. Forget about foreheads, let's get the real closeness done in here! His hands make their way around Hiccup's hips to reach his back, and suddenly his arms close around his body, pushing the boy against himself for a hug. The sweetness of the moment is a bit spoiled by Jack's laughter, which he tries to cover by burying his face on Hiccup's neck. Damn, this boy can't get cuter.]
A chicken shit? Hiccup, you made the first move! You kissed me. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. [Another chuckle escapes him, and he shakes his head against Hiccup's skin, hands closing to grab the hoodie and make the hug a little tighter.] I really wish you'd stop looking down on yourself. You're wonderful, Hic. I like you just the way you are. And I believe we've already confirmed I have excellent taste, mmh?

[But he'd been trying to forget about the whole crush thing since he figured he liked Jack, and it hadn't worked so he'd opted for plan B. He chuckled a little at Jack's words, wrapping his arms around him as far as they would go.]

What do you think? [He leans to press another kiss on Hiccup's lips, moving his own a little bit this time before pulling away. His cheeks are a bit red too, admire the sight, Hiccup.] We can be whatever you want us to be.
[And they can do whatever they want to do. He doesn't need to fear losing Hiccup anymore, so why is he holding in? He starts pressing kisses all over Hiccup's face now, feeling his heart jump with each touch of lips to skin, warmth running through his whole body.]
End of the year, end of the year... [Kiss, kiss, kiss.] Geez, even before this, I had already thought about it, you know? [The words were out of his mouth before he could stop them. Hiccup scratches the back of his own neck as their foreheads are pressed together, feeling his body warming at each touch. He doesn't really know what he's going to do during the summer either, not now that they've let secrets out into the open. He glances off to the side and shrugs.]

T-that's... I'm not gonna lie, Hic, I thought of that too. Visiting one day - that's what best friends do, right? Nothing wrong with it. And spending time in a wizard village sounds amazing, because Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade have always been more like... shopping trips, I guess. But then I remembered your father, and what he would think of me, and I... i just can't ruin your family life like that. Especially now, when I doubt I will ever be able to keep my hands away from you again.
[His arms go from loosing up to finally dropping, and Jack runs his fingers through his hair. He already misses the feel of Hiccup under his hands, but the sudden thought of what is waiting for them outside Hogwarts is worrying him. He knows Hiccup doesn't have a great relationship with his father, but at least there's something there. Maybe there's hope? He doesn't want to make it worse, he doesn't want Hiccup t end up like himself, ignored and pretty much hated by his own parents. And talking about them...]
And then... then I thought, maybe you could come home? My father also has summer vacations and he leaves for the beach with my mother, I'll have the house for myself, and I have videogames with dragons with them... [He shakes his head, sighing.] But dragging you to the muggle world has to be the most boring summer idea ever, and there's Toothless, and... I don't even know anymore.
[He takes a deep breath and realizes he's been ranting, and how that sounded. Way to go, Frost. He finally looks up, grabbing Hiccup's hoodie with a hand and pushing their foreheads against each other again. Why did he let go in the first place? Hiccup always gives him the strength he needs.]
...sorry. That wasn't a no, I swear. In fact, it makes me giddy as an idiot to think you want to invite me. I just... I told you when we started to be friends, didn't I? I equal trouble, and I don't wanna make your life harder.

[He reaches to wrap his arms under Jack's, pulling him closer and pressing a kiss to the other boy's lips, pulling away after a moment to breath softly.]
The only thing you've made my life harder with was this damn crush I've been harboring for months now. [He chuckled.] Besides, you couldn't make it harder than it was before I met you.

[It's obviously a joke, Jack doesn't think knowing their orientations would've changed much. They're two idiots who wouldn't want to hit on each other even if the evidence hit them on the face. He runs his fingers through his hair again before returning the hug, forgetting for a moment what he wants to say when he gets kissed like that. Uff, they should stop talking and spend more time kissing. That sounds like a plan.]
But that wasn't what I meant, you know? Hic, I'm just... not the kind of guy you introduce to your parents. I'm the guy your parents warn you about. I just think he won't approve of me, being a boy, a girl, neither or both.
[Usually Jack is more than willing to fight authority. He doesn't care about what other people think about him, and accepts consequences. But he doesn't want to drag Hiccup in that. Call it self-awareness, call it idiocy, but his shit is exactly that, only his.]
That little bastard would make a fantastic cat, wouldn't he? [He chuckles too.] Remember when I told you about the moving pictures on screen that tell a story? Video-games are like that, but you control the characters. There is a lot of stuff muggles do on screens, I should take you to the cinema some day. Classic place for a date after all. [His breath stops for a second when he realizes what he's just said.] ...oh shit, we can go on dates now. Why is that such a dumb thought but at the same time so exciting?
[The shower of kisses returns once more, Jack laughing with happiness between kiss and kiss. He's feeling pretty good right now, almost enough to make him forger about Hiccup's dad.]
Sorry, but I can't help being this cute. [He winks and kisses Hiccup's lips next, trying to stay a bit longer this time. Which is kinda dangerous, since with him not having experience, it'll show how he's playing by ear. When he pulls back he's truly relaxed and ready to take the world by storm.] Look, as long as it makes you happy, we can do whatever you want. I can go, or you can come, or we can divide the time to do both, or we stay at home and poke owls to fly faster. Your choice.
Hiccup points out all the mythological inaccuracies
Hiccup reaches to lace their fingers together, bringing one of Jack's hands up to brush his lips over the knuckle and along the back of his hand, blinking before he chuckles.]
Muggles. Fantastic lot you are. First moving pictures and now controlling the people in them? [He blinks for a moment at the cinema comment before assuming that it's along the same lines and chuckling again.] Yes, Jack, we can go on dates now.
[Honestly though the idea of Hogsmeade dates send a small tingle through him, imagining walking with Jack hand in hand through the snow covered village. He hums against the next kiss, moving his mouth before Jack pulls away.]
Honestly spending the summer with you in the muggle world sounds better than spending it at home in Berk. [Hiccup inclines his head with a shrug.] We still get attacked by dragons sometimes and I don't want to put you in any danger.
And Jack reminds him they're there for Thor's abs and explosions
The comment about muggles makes him roll his eyes, but he sounds and looks amused.]
Says the guy that plays wizard chess, talking to little enchanted pieces, telling them what to do... [He pauses when a thought suddenly occurs to him, and he grins.] You know, I could do with a strategist for the hardest missions. I'm so making you an avatar.
[Now his mind is kinda gone, imaging all the kind of dates they can go on in the future. An amusement park is another obvious choice for dates, but considering the way Hiccup flies, he doubts a roller-coaster will do much for him. Maybe a concert? And they need lots of cuddling on the couch... So distracted he is, that he just nods along to Hiccup's words at first.]
Mmmh, my knight in muggle armor. [When the message finally reach his brain, he freezes for a second before exploding with happiness.] REALLY? You mean that? You really wanna come? The house for just the two of us... [And Toothless, but who cares about him? He throws his arms around Hiccup and kisses him quickly, smiling during the whole thing, eyes sparking with emotion.] Merlin, this is going to be so great! I'll show you everything you wanna know about muggle world, I promise. We'll start with a bus ride! Burguess is near London so you can flu to Diagon Alley and I can pick you up. And we can get you more muggle clothes too, yes, something for the summer sun. We're totally going to the movies, too, and...
[Hiccup, shut him up before he rambles the day way.]

[Jack probably meant something else by it but the definition of the word is the first thing that springs to Hiccup's mind. The fact that he drew a purr out of Jack makes him smile though, watching the look on his face. Jack must be thinking of so many things, but Hiccup wonders if he remembers he's never been in the muggle world before. He chuckles when Jack looks at him happily at the notion that he'll go stay with him for the summer.]
Really. I really want to come. [He laughs and catches Jack around the waist when he throws his arms around him, humming against the kiss before Jack pulls away to ramble more.] Jack. Jack, all this sounds lovely but you're rambling.

[Of course he remembers, that's why he's planning all this cool stuff to do! But okay, he does stop when Hiccup asks him to, chuckling to himself and burying his face on Hiccup's neck again, nuzzling. He can't get enough of touching him, of hearing him laugh, of seeing his smile. He's a lovefool and he doesn't care, he's happy. How many people in the world, wizard or muggle, can claim that?]

It's funny, you know? Before, I didn't want classes to end. I didn't want to return home, I wanted to stay in the castle. Now... now, though, I can't wait for this.

[His smile says that he was just teasing but he really doesn't know what Jack's talking about, even as he flushes at the idea of being the other boy's personal god. He lowers his head when Jack buries his face in his neck again, wrapping his arms around the other boy and resting his chin on Jack's head again. When Jack kisses his neck, his shoulders twinge, a small snort coming from his mouth. He's only a little bit ticklish there.
Hiccup hums, chuckling.]
You? Didn't want classes to end? You, the guy I had to tutor to get him to pass his exams? [He tilts his head back and raises an eyebrow at his...boyfriend? Is that what they were? Hiccup puts his head back where it was.] But...I get it. [He closes his eyes.] Back home I'm just Hiccup the Useless, but here...here I can win Quidditch matches, get top scores...be with friends my dad wouldn't approve of.

Hey now, don't hate on the tutoring sessions. They got us together. Maybe that was my plan all along, ever thought of that? I'm cunning like that. [Bullshit, all of it, but he can't resist the opportunity to joke around more. He nods a couple of times and speaks softly.] You do. You always get it. You're the only one that gets it. Gosh... this is why I like you so much.
[He pulls his head back, eyes closed, and goes for a -guess what- yup, another kiss. This is addictive, alright, don't judge him. It's a slow one, he wants to savor it, to record it in his mind. One of his hands ends up on Hiccup's cheek as if trying to hold him there to confirm he's real.
Damn. They're a couple now.
His eyes open after pulling back, watching Hiccup with adoration, lips still lingering near the other boy's, forming a big, happy grin. When he realizes how cheesy he's being, his eyebrows go up and he blushes a bit, turning his head to the side to clear his throat. Time to throw a stupid joke so he cover the awkwardness. (Though it'd probably help more if he just took his hand away from Hiccup's braid after it wandered there during the kiss).]
Just friends? Rumor has it you got one handsome and funny boyfriend recently.

The blush on Jack's cheeks makes a smile curl on Hiccup's lips, leaning down to press his lips to the other boy's cheek with a laugh as he reached up to pull Jack's hand away from his braid.]
Ah well, you know me. I don't like to make a fuss out of rumors.
[He felt like adding more but he just wraps his arms around Jack and holds him closer. They're together and he's going to muggle London for the summer. He's going to get to see all that technology up close and personal and share the experience with one of the most important people in his life.
It couldn't get any better than this.]

[Also laughing and returning the hold, he kisses Hiccup's cheek too. And that's how they spend they rest of the day, sharing cute kisses and cuddly hugs - at one point they even remember to actually eat and finish their drinks. It's difficult to let go when the time comes, but the broom ride out is way less awkward. Even after they have already passed through the H, Jack keeps himself pressed against Hiccup.
They need to go flying together more often.
Only a couple of days are left of the school year, and half of them are busy with exams, but Jack takes any chance he can to catch Hiccup in the middle of the hallway, drag him to an empty classroom and share at least one kiss or two. He's still not sure how the school will take them being together yet, and it's still a new thing for them anyway, so it's better to leave it for next year and finish this one in peace.
What is also rather peaceful is the trip in the Hogwarts Express. Jack usually spends it bothering everyone - he feels annoyed for having to leave Hogwarts and bored for having nothing to do in a fucking train. But not this time. Taking advantage of how people usually leave them alone, they get a compartment only for themselves, sharing candy and their first make-out session.
That's another thing they need to do more often.
Just like he said in his rambling, Jack promises he'll pick Hiccup up in Diagon Alley, using Gringotts as a meeting point. Hiccup may want to get some money exchanged to spend in London. The date, the day Jack's parents leave for their own vacation: one week after school ends. The days he has to spend waiting are hell, even worse than usual. Jack has never been a patient kind of guy, and the heat can get him rather cranky too sometimes. Fucking summer.
When the day finally comes, Jack arrives really early, not being able to stay alone at home any longer, and taking the opportunity to take a look around the shops. Surprisingly, he's wearing muggle clothes. He likes dressing as a wizard, but there's no way he's wearing robes in summer - besides, they're leaving for the muggle city soon, so there's no point in the end. Sandals, bermuda shorts, a white tanktop and a sleeveless blue shirt, his look screams "I hate the heat" all over. And not being bothered by the wizards and witches' glances, he left his headphones around his neck too, knowing Hiccup will like them.
Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes takes a good amount of his money like always, and Jack ends up so distracted by trying out some of the new merch on some random grumpy wizards, that the idiot that arrived early shows up late to their meeting... just like the day they met, the irony.]

After all, Gobber knew how much flying meant to him, he wouldn't be one to stop him. He just needed to get out of Berk before his dad came home and went on the warpath. It wasn't like he lied, he did go to one but he wouldn't know how he went until he'd get an answer back by owl. After that, he just stayed in the Leaky Cauldron. In all honesty he can't wait for the week to be over so he can be around Jack again.
When the day comes, Hiccup has his stuff packed, his broom resting on top of his pack in plain wrapping so it doesn't look too suspicious. He doesn't know what muggles do with brooms but he knows that it sure as hell isn't flying. He already exchanged some of his gold for muggle money at Gringotts, hopefully enough but if not they can just go back if he needs to. The Ravenclaw boy is sitting on the steps when Jack arrives, dressed in a haphazard mesh of muggle and wizard clothing. The top Jack got for him ages ago is far too small, considering he just had another growth spurt, so he had Madam Malkin fix up one of his old shirts, since he can't exactly use magic outside of school.
Honestly, he's not surprised when Jack shows up late, instead raises an eyebrow up at his boyfriend (it still feels so weird to say that) from where he's sitting on the steps to Gringotts, arms draped over his knees and bag resting next to him.]
I was beginning to think I'd been stood up.
[His tone of voice is teasing, which should ease Jack's worries.]

[Those two last words sounded way like a lovefool idiot, but can you blame him? He's really happy to see Hiccup. After looking around to check people don't have their attention on them, he drops a quick kiss on his boyfriend's lips, grinning widely when he leans back.]
Ready to go? Dunno if you wanna go straight to my house or visit the city first. How much are you carryi-? [He turns to check Hiccup's luggage and arches his eyebrows in surprise when he sees what else he brought.] Is that you broom? What for?

He shakes his head a little and chuckles before Jack kisses him, leaning up a little into it before pulling away, glancing out the corner of his eyes. Wizards and witches walked past them, not even giving them a second glance before he looked back at this boyfriend, giving a small shrug at the question and standing.]
I figured I needed a cover story so I said on a note to Gobber that I was going to a couple of Quidditch tryouts. Dad wasn't home. [Hiccup inclined his head.] I thought I'd take myself up on it and actually do it. Cork, Lancashire, Yorkshire. Stonewall. Nordic National. All of them were looking for Seekers so I decided to give it a go.
[He was already ahead of his classes by a year, it wasn't like he was losing anything by trying. Hiccup couldn't help but notice he'd grown an extra couple of inches over Jack, and he leaned down to press a quick kiss to his forehead before holding up his pack.]
Undetectable Extension Charm. Ah, speaking of which, what should I do with my broom? I wasn't sure what muggles did with brooms.

What also takes him by surprise is what Hiccup have been doing the last week. Jack laughs, excited by the news, and grabs Hiccup's shoulders, giving him a slight shake.]
You what? Hiccup, that's awesome! How did it go? You totally showed them how it's done, didn't you? Oh man, I wish I had gone with you! Why didn't you tell me, it's not like they care where I go...
[His parents would've been happy to have him less time around, that's for sure. His little rambling gets interrupted when Hiccup kisses his forehead (taller and bigger but still an adorable dork, yup). His smile only grows bigger, and after another quick look around, he grabs Hiccup's hand and starts dragging him to the magic wall that would take them to muggle London.]
Yeah, yeah, you aren't the only one, smartass. [His free hand pats the fanny pack on his waist. Having watched Mary Poppins hundreds of times, this was one of the first spells he looked for when he arrived to Hogwarts. To difficult for someone new at magic, he asked an older student to do it for him in exchange of pranking his love rival.
