I don't wanna wait for our lives to be over (kingdom au for

[The wedding was possibly the biggest celebration in the capitol since the king's coming of age, and for reason. The media had been in a 'will they, won't they' frenzy since King Hiccup proposed to his assistant and lover Jackson Overland Frost, but despite some protests from the older, more experienced Lords (or perhaps in retaliation), the wedding went off without a hitch. The actual wedding itself had been a private ceremony, only close friends and family, but the reception was huge.
The ballroom was filled with younger representatives of the lord's families, people they were one friendly terms with and who supported them. The newly wed couple left for a private island off the coast of the capitol late in the night, under the cover of darkness to avoid being photographed by anyone other than Hiccup's PR team, who would make sure that photographs and videos of the wedding would reach the network by morning under their own terms.
The door to the large house nestled near the cliffside of the island overlooking the water was opened, Hiccup nudging it so with his shoulder since his arms were full of his newly wed husband.]
And here we are. Home sweet home for a whole month.

He promised he would do something, and he intended to keep that promise.
It was hard as fuck to choose what to make - after all, what did you give to the man that has everything? Thankfully some reading about Hiccup's culture and an extra tip or two from North helped Jack not to go crazy over it. Carving behind the king's back added an extra challenge, but saying he needed some time with his not!dad did the trick.
The private ceremony was beautiful, a dream really, but for Jack, the real thing will forever be their little sacred ritual before it. Hiccup's song and acceptance of his gift were more important that some papers they signed.
And now, ready to start their honeymoon, there are not enough words to describe how incredibly happy Jack is. So much in fact that he doesn't even protest when Hiccup picks him up to enter the house, only laughs - though he does jump off those arms when they're finally inside. He needs that leg healthy so they can have lots of fun today.]
Only a month? Mmmh, that can't be right. [Jack throws his arms around Hiccup's neck, leaning in to rub their noses together.] That's too little. We need some proper celebration time, like... dunno, a decade or two.
