dragonconqueror: (I won't listen anyway)

Well, I'm adjusting to magic being a thing since I live with North. He talked about teaching me too, but I think I'll just stick with herding dragons. I'm only good at old fashioned viking stuff. Ah, they're in China now by the way. I told the Bewilderbeast what you told me about that place.

[That, and he didn't want to make Dave feel even worse about himself if their conversation in the kitchen was anything to go by. If he was actually good at magic and better than the Prime Merlinian, he got the feeling Dave wouldn't even talk to him. No, magic was Dave's thing. Besides, Hiccup liked having at least something normal about him, all things considered (looking at you, dick), but let's face it, he signed away "normal" when he became a Guardian.

He's used to dragons running around and being surrounded by baby dragons and Terrible Terrors in minutes, one little dog isn't going to phase him. Hiccup kneels so that he's closer to Tank, letting the bulldog sniff him all he wants since it's a customary thing for dragons too. He chuckles a little when Tank rolls over onto his stomach, giving the dog a belly rub before he looks up at Dave as Tank's attention is taken by the kibble being poured in to his bowl.]

Take your time. What kind of project are you doing?

[Genuine curiosity, though he does look at the fridge, equally curious. He's seen the one in North's kitchen, but that's obviously bigger than what Dave has. He's not quite sure what the human means by leftovers though, standing and hooking his thumbs into the cords trailing along his thighs.]
